Thank you for your interest in Hidden Pet Fence. Here are some testimonials from our customers when we asked them why they chose us over the other company.
"To anyone thinking of buying an invisible fence, please read this. My husband and I had the salesman out from The Invisible fence (actual brand) company. Our main concern we talked about was our dog being shocked and getting scared. The salesman assured us that is does not hurt the dog, and that is not a shock, but a correction of static. He pulled out a collar and let my husband feel it. He could barley feel it, and asked the salesman if that would keep him in the yard, and we were told that the certified dog trainer would teach our dog to stay in the yard using that setting. We were both impressed and after about an hour, we got the sales pitch and a quote of $2400. We both told him that was out of our price range, especially since our yard was so tiny. Then the price went to $1700 which is what we thought the price would be, but we had to sign up right then. Feeling like we were getting a great deal, and buying a great brand name brand, we signed up. 3 days later the installer came and to put in the fence, and soon after the dog trainer showed up. He led Bandit to the fence, and he let out a scream, and he jumped up into the air, and he pulled the leash right out of the trainers hand, and ran back to the house. We were so distraught by the experience, we didn't know what to do. I ran to get bandit, and my husband ask the trainer what the heck did he just do. Then we took off the collar, and my husband took it into the fence line to test it on his hand like he did with the salesman. He yelled and threw the collar, and asked the trainer why it was it set so damn high. The trainer simply said that he really had to "give it to him" for him to stay in the yard, and besides, it was on the low setting" The low setting he felt with the salesman was not this setting. After 3 days of our dog refusing to go into the yard, we asked for our money back. After a week, my husband returned the unit and collar Invisible Fence dealer in Henrietta and demanded our money back. The salesman used bait and switch and now our dog is scared of our yard, and he now poops and pee's in the house. The manager at Invisible Fence of western Rochester told me he could refund my money except for $300, which is the cost of the wire, which we keep, and it can't be returned. A few days, someone came to our house, and ripped up the fence wire in 2 places, so there was no way we could use the wire, that they CHARGED us $300 for. Since then we purchased a fence from Ralph. With a low setting and a lot of time, we convinced Bandit to come back outside and use the yard. We have since told everyone about our bad experience with Invisible Fence Company and how happy we are with Hidden Pet Fence Company. If you are in the market for a fence for your dog, please understand that this was a terrible experience for us and our dog with The Invisible Fence Company. Working with Ralph at Hidden Pet Fence was more whan we expected to get from the bigger named company. Thanks again, Ralph!

We chose your company because we felt that the call back feature that works past the line, was a huge advantage over the dog fence systems we looked at. It proved its worth, because Baily our energetic lab tried to run past it chasing deer, it only takes him a second to realize the collar continued to work past the flags too. He stoped and came right back into the safe area in the yard. Our neighbor has an invisible fence from another company and his dogs will run through it and past it to go into the woods across the street a few times a month. We wanted to make sure we didn't have the same issue, and we are very happy with our fence and the great service! Mike, Albany NY
Awesome people and service! We originally had dog yard invisible fence installed in 1995 at our house in Pittsford NY for our golden retriever puppy and our grate dane. We added the hidden fence to our lake house on Conesus Lake a few years later and they have worked wonderfully! We most recently relocated to Victor NY with a new yorkie puppy and a new goldendoodle puppy. Once again we received friendly service for a very informative dog fence professional. We couldn't be happier with Hidden Pet Fence! The Dottsman family, Victor NY
After getting 2 dogs that are very excitable, a hidden fence was needed fast. Getting a quote and an installation in a weeks time was amazing. We can now let them run free and play so they can burn off that energy. The price was a third of a chain link fence and $300 less then invisible fence. You also did our front yard for no extra cost and we appreciated that. Knowing that you are a local business and not a big franchise with high fees is refreshing, Thank you! Celeste, Nate, Rick & Bobby, Saratoga Springs NY
After having the original Invisible fence company for over 8 years for our dogs, we felt that is was time for an upgrade. We called the main office in Rochester to get a quote from Invisible Fence® Brand. After being Pressured by a salesmen to buy a new fence at a very high price, we decided to search for other options. Our Veterinarian recommended Ralph at Hidden Pet Fence. We were sceptical that the price was so low compared to Invisible fence guy, that we waited a month or so to make a decision. During that time, we received many phone calls from the Invisible fence company asking us why we had not made the decision to keep our dog safe, and each time the price went down. It finally came down to Ralphs quote. We decided to go with Ralph since he was the owner of the company, and he gave us an honest up front price. It has been a pleasure to deal with him and his employees over the last 5 years. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great fence company!
Robert, Elmira NY
We had the Invisible Fence brand at our house for 5 years. Our dog passed away, and we did not use the system for the last 3 years. When we got a new dog, we called Invisible fence to come out and train our new puppy. The girl on the phone told me that my system was too old and could not be used. The best thing to do is have a salesmen come out and give us an estimate. Since I need a whole new system, we got another quote from Ralph at Hidden Pet Fence. Ralph tested the system and it was working fine. He suggested to use my existing wire and box to save money. He gave us a price on a compatible collar for our system and a training program. It was an easy decision to go with Ralph. The price was great and the collar is very small. I am very happy with the training and service we got from his company. Dave, Hornell NY
The original invisible fence dealership we bought from 2 years ago had closed down and the new dealership owner wanted $150 just to show up to look at our fence when it broke, and he couldn't come out for 4-6 weeks! You were half the cost, and came out in 3 days, and had it fixed right away. Alan showed us the batteries you have for my collars and were only $10 each. The other company wanted $25 for the same exact thing! Needless to say, we aren't happy with the other company and are very pleased with dog yard hidden fence. Thanks for great service! Melissa, Rotterdam NY.
"You actually gave me information on the system, and about the training of the dog. All we got From Invisible Fence Of Western NY was a high quote of $2800, then he dropped it to where your price was in only a minute. He used a sales "flip chart" that he took away with him, and left no information behind about what we were being quoted.... How many people fall for that kind of crap! How many people do they rip off with that first pice? Your presentation was honest and up front. I would be happy to refer you out to other dog owners"
-- The Randall Family, Rochester NY
" I like how the dogs are trained with low levels of shock."
--R. E., Geneva NY
" Two members of my family have the Invisible Fence? of Rochester. They have the same yard setup, and similar dogs. They were quoted prices with a $500 gap between them. Then, when my sister's collar went bad, they charged her $265 for the collar, and fifty bucks for batteries. When asked about the lifetime warranty, they said that the battery leaked, and caused the collar to corrode, and it voided the warranty."
-- J. D., Hilton NY
" I did a lot of research. Then when I met you, I was sold on your training technique, and quality of the electronics."
-- R. A., Pittsford NY
"There are 3 systems in our project by the Invisible Fence? of Rochester. All 3 dogs are scared to go in the yard. They stay close to the house, and are mortified of the yard. The terrier down the road did a back flip when she was shocked."
-- T. C., Webster NY
"My sister has the Invisible Fence Brand? system, and they charged her $35 for a battery, a year after the salesman told her they were free"
-- The Rohdes Family, Rochester NY
"The Invisible Fence? Brand of Rochester quoted me $2650, and when I told them I was meeting with you, they lowered the price to $2200, then to $1800. I told him I don't do business with companies that go high, and lower the price, like a used car salesmen"
-- G. S., Greece NY
"You mentioned that you have a worst case scenario, if my dog was stubborn with the training. Your stopper program guarantees to keep my dog in the yard no matter what."
-- J. B., Naples NY
"Your collar is so small & lite compared to the Invisible Fence company"
-- V. B., Geneseo NY
"The Invisible Fence company didn't explain how the system works. I didn't know you could keep my dog in the front, or back yard with one wire"
-- M. O., Victor N.Y.
"When you explained to me dog's behavior and how they learn things, I couldn't believe how knowledgeable you were compared to the Invisible Fence company sales lady"
-- J. F., Honeoye Falls NY
"You were the only one that could do a half of a loop in the front, to the back yard fence"
--K. D., Fairport NY
"When you made me feel the shock of the collar, and showed me how low you use on the dog while training, I was sold."
-- K.C., Spencerport NY
"When we met you at GardenScape, you explained how the system worked, and shocked me with the collar, and I barely felt it. The Invisible Fence company did not explain how the system worked, and said that they don't recommend feeling their collar's shock. They were just interested in getting an appointment."
-- K. H., Penfield NY
"My brother is a veterinarian, and has a fence with the Invisible Fence company. All three of his dog will run through when they see something. They had to purchase a regular fence because the company told them that their 3 dogs were to stupid for their fence. He now recommends you exclusively because you have a stubborn dog training collar & training program that stops any type of dog."

Let all our customers who use Google speak for themselves...
"We loved working with this company. The fence they sold us in 1999 still works, and the 2 new puppies recently were trained to the system seamlessly, in just a week. The service Ralph gives is still wonderful even though he has grown so much since our original purchase. Great job."
"OMG...we adopted a shelter dog from GRASP here in Rochester (Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets). She is a 2+ year old, beautiful Rottweiler Lab mix, sweet, gentle and a 65 lb lap dog. Sweet, big and powerful. When we let her outside she would go crazy. We have a shed with a rabbit underneath, and if let out without supervision, she would start running around the shed like a crazy dog and it was nearly impossible to get her back without physically going out to get her. In addition to that, although we have a fenced in yard, if left alone, she would dig holes under the fence and escape to her freedom. After several trips around the neighborhood through snow, rain, mud etc., we started tying her up but that didn't make me happy so we needed an alternative. When we first looked at Hidden Pet Fence, we couldn't initially justify the investment although if it worked, we definitely saw the value! We tried a shock collar but I didn't like that it was a cruel option and we only used it in the house to train her to stop jumping up on people which was a very easy training. I am a firm believer that if you decide to bring a pet into the family, it is a life long commitment. In spite of this, my husband and I had seriously considered giving her to a home in the country and tried half-heartedly to find a suitable home with someone we knew or someone they knew. After two hopefuls, we decided we couldn't let her go to strangers. So, we decided to bite the bullet and have the fence installed in both the front and back yards. When Ralph came to do the installation, he commented that she would be an easy dog to train. I was skeptical but he was so right! We followed the instructions and within 2 days, she knew her boundaries...and to this day has the upmost respect for where her territory starts and stops and doesn't go anywhere near the line. She knows her safe zone and whether the front or back yard, we have had no issues. Yesterday I let her out and our "shed rabbit" was just past the line. She ran out, sat down, and did nothing but stare for the longest time. We've had her in the front yard, and dogs will walk past and she'll sit and watch (whine a little too!) but nothing else. We love her and are so grateful that we decided to make the investment. It's the best money we could have spent and look forward now to a long and happy life with our beautiful pet. Thank you!!!"
"Best company ever! they put in the fence a few weeks ago and then we got a ton of snow. Our little dog was too small to walk around the yard for training. They came out with a snow blower and cleared several paths for the training to continue in both the front and back yards. We were already very happy with this company, but to have them do this yard clearing as part of their service just amazing. I cant say enough about how great they are to work with. Ralph is the owner, and he did the estimate and presentation, Nick did the installation and the first few trainings. Both are very knowledgeable with dogs and you know right away that they are the best in the business. I highly recommend them. If you think your dog is too stubborn, or too small, then this is the company to use. We have both a stubborn big dog and a tiny low key puppy. they are both great with the fence!"
"My husband and I have been extremely pleased with Ralph and his staff at Hidden Pet Fence. Everyone has been exceptionally easy to work with, and when behavioral issues arose unrelated to the pet fence, Ralph helped to guide us to a trainer that can help us! We would recommend Hidden Pet Fence to anyone!"
"13 years ago they installed my dog yard invisible fence and it has worked perfectly. Highly recommended."
"Ralph and Hidden Pet Fence have installed the there fence at two of my houses now. The price was very fair and the crew was professional. They even came back out the service my fence right away when I had a landscaping mishap! Jason"
Here are some things our customers tell us when asked...
Why did you trade the Invisible Fence Brand system and upgrade to a Hidden Pet Fence system?
"Invisible Fence company told my next door neighbor there was a $200 discount for being a cop, and quoted them $300 more than they charged us (identical size yards). With their discount, it was more. Plus, it was for the basic system (with a one-year warranty). Then, when you told me you could used my existing wire and sell me a new system for what they wanted for 1 new collar, batteries and training for my new dogs, my cop friend and I were sold."
-- T.C., Irondequoit NY
"When my system quit working, Invisible Fence said the whole wire needed to be replaced. You were honest and said I could use the existing wire, but recommended upgrading the system. I got a new system, with free batteries, and all new wire for what they quoted me to replace just the wire."
-- J.K., Victor NY
Invisible Fence® Brand Customers, that we have serviced, had this to say about the Invisible Fence® Brand of Western Rochester:
"I had the Invisible Fence brand of pet fence for my 3 dogs for 3 years. For 3 years one of my dogs had to be tied to a tree, as the other guys could not keep her in. They put 3 shocking collars on her and held her into the shock zone, and she would still run through the fence. Then I found you guys, and now after 6 months all 3 of my dog's can run together. Trixy was trained properly, and only wears ONE collar to keep her in."
