I have had an excellent experience with Hidden Pet Fence of NY. They have been prompt, courteous and fair. As a veterinarian, I have seen too many dogs injured when not safely confined. I have peace of mind knowing that our dog is happier and safer with her fence.

We were looking for an option that would allow our dogs to run our 1/2 acre yard and even the cheapest fences were going to be more than $10k. We’ve had our hidden pet fence for more than 2 years now and it’s going very well. Any issues we have had with collars are fixed right away and when we ran into difficulty with a neighbor who did not have faith in our fence and was complaining to the town (even though the dogs clearly do not get out), they came out and were able to adjust settings that moved the line back without the expense of moving the line. That was a huge relief for us! Last great thing to share: we were able to get our fence put on the same signal as our parent’s hidden pet fence (they live 30 minutes away but have the same hidden fence) so our dogs could run free in their yard when we go over there! It was a simple reprogramming and they were happy to help us figure out how to make that work on both ends so our parent’s dogs could run free at our place, and vice versa. In all; our experience has been very good and I highly recommend this company for a hidden fence! PS I recommended them to my neighbor who is now also very happy with their hidden fence.

We have a shiloh shepherd and the fence works like a charm! He is 90 pounds and has never gotten out of the fence. We put it in when he was about 6 months old. The installation was so easy and then they worked with the puppy for about 1/2 hour showing him the boundaries. For 2 weeks 3 times a day we walked the property with our puppy on a leash. We kept the flags up for about 2 months. We took out every other flag for about a week until they eventually were all gone.

We have now used Hidden Pet Fence for an initial installation, the training of two dogs on the system, the moving to a new house and then retraining the dogs on the new perimeter. Ralph and his team are very professional and extremely helpful and we have been quite pleased with their service. I would highly recommend Hidden Pet Fence for your pet containment needs!

Jordan and Rob were our technicians who came and installed our hidden pet fence, they both were very professional and respectful of our home. They were on time , the work was completed quickly. Once the fence was installed they took our pups out 1 at a time to begin their training. They handled them with ease and great care giving them praises as they progressed. Once the training was done for their first session they came in and explained what our responsibility’s would be over the next few weeks. They assured us that if any problems were to arise for us not to hesitate to contact them and they would help resolve them. We’ve had Hidden Fence for about a year. The technician that did the installation was very professional and knowledgeable regarding training our dog. We live next to a golf course and I have no worries about Sadie running on the golf course even if I am not in the yard.

Friendly and knowledgeable sales team. Super detail oriented, clean, efficient and fast installation. Very knowledgeable with regard to training methods for all dogs. My dog was literally trained the first 45 minutes! No repeat sessions were needed and the ongoing training methods I was given were even barley needed. Overall I felt the experience was amazing and I would highly recommend this company. I also thought it was quite affordable considering I did just over an acre of land!

I’ve had hidden pet fence for over 10 years now. They have been great when I needed them to fix the invisible fence line after I had a new driveway installed. I recommend them to my daughter for her driveway dog and they have been great to work with!

We have two large areas fenced in using hidden pet fences, and it works great. We have a Siberian Husky, so you know the fence works if it works for a Husky. We had to have the fence fixed because I accidently broke the wire with our tractor (oops), and they came right out to fix it
We also had to replace a collar (left it on the hood of the car, it’s somewhere in Brockport), and replacing it was no problem. Great product, it’s worth the money to keep your fur babies safe.

I’ve been using Hidden Pet Fence for over a decade now and would highly recommend them! I bought a house that had an old Invisible Fence brand transmitter 10+ years ago but it had a damaged fence line and was inoperable. They were able to run a new fence line around the property and rehab the Invisible Fence Brand transmitter, just selling me a compatible collar for my dog, which saved me a good chunk of money not having to buy a new transmitter. Afterwards, they even worked with us (coming out to our property multiple times) to tweak our transmitter appropriately and get our stubborn dog to stay inside the invisible fence.

Wonderful experience having a pet fence installed by Hidden Pet Fence of NY, Inc. They worked with me to meet local codes/ordinances and were transparent with pricing. Install was easy and fast, and the one-on-one support with training was excellent. I had serious doubts about whether or not this would work with my very stubborn 10yo lab-collie mixes, but Hidden Pet Fence made the whole experience painless. They provided reassurance throughout the whole process and sent down trainers for reinforcement training when needed. I have been nothing but pleased with my investment!

I moved from Perry to Elmira and brought my existing fence system that the owner Ralph installed 20 years ago. I was surprised and happy to find that they have another office in Elmira so I could continue working with them. The fence worked perfect for every dog I’ve had for the past 20 years. When they came to my new house to install the fence, they also flagged the lines and trained my newest lab puppy. Works good as new. 

My family has used Hidden Pet Fence for many years. The owner installed our original fence almost 20 years ago! We recently got a rottweiler puppy and had them out to flag the yard and train him. I mentioned some behavior issues we were struggling with, and the technician showed us a new collar that they have that can connect to your phone to use for training. He connected it to our fence and gave us a crash course on how to use it to train the dog inside. He took to the fence very quickly and we started working on the indoor behaviors. After just 2 weeks of using the phone app he was no longer jumping at the front door or biting the furniture. This training tool worked like a charm and I only wish it was available when we had our last dog. If you have a troublesome puppy we highly recommend Hidden Pet Fence for the fence of course but also pretty much any issue you have!

I have used Hidden Pet Fence for my 3 dogs for years. It is amazing how it works for all breeds and personality types. I have 2 very stubborn pit bull mixes and one small terrier mix who is afraid of everything. They were very gentle training my little one. Each of the dogs are on different settings all on one system which is amazing to me. If my pit is chasing something, the collar keeps going until he comes back (which doesn’t take more than a second or two). I just got my mother scheduled to get an install for her new dog, and the team is still as polite and easy to work with as I remember. The best part is, she can bring her dogs collar to my house and it will work on our system as well. I would never trust anyone else with my dogs!

My brother recommended Hidden Pet fence for my stubborn lab, as his dog and mine are siblings, and can be block heads. They are relaxed one moment, but once there’s a rabbit or squirrel they will do anything to get it. I was finally fed up enough with chasing him through the neighborhood and scheduled the install. I had been an Invisible Fence customer for a while before discovering Hidden Pet Fence. After landscapers cut my line, I called Invisible Fence and the person they sent out said the wire was too damaged to fix. They said I needed an all new line for over $1000 and they were booked out 6 weeks! They also replaced my dogs collar strap, and had Invisible Fence batteries for way cheaper. I will definitely be calling them from now on!

I was trying to get my invisible fence fixed but the Elmira invisible fence office closed. The corporate office said it would take 12 weeks to send a tech from another area to help me. Thankfully a neighbor told me about hidden fence and they were able to come out the next day. They said they work on every brand which is very helpful. Sending our friends parents your way now!

We live very close to the Hidden Pet Fence office in Greece. We finally picked up our golden retriever puppy this Spring, so we called to get an install. We love working with local companies and it is so cool to have them this close. They came out for follow up training sessions and we are very happy with the fence and their customer service.

We have many obstacles in our yard including a creek, that make any sort of fence install complicated. We called out a few different invisible type fence companies, and Hidden Pet Fence was the only one who was willing to include the creek. My rottie loves to play in the creek and I did not want to cut off half of the backyard to keep him contained. They have a special type of wire that is safe for the water, and the price was the same as the other company who wouldn’t even install in the creek! This was a no brainer for us and we are extremely satisfied with our choice. 

My yard is extremely small, and the backyard is fenced in on 3 sides, but open where the driveway is. I considered putting a gate up, but it would separate the driveway from the garage, and I would only be able to let my dog out of the back door. My dog is a very sweet bulldog who would never hurt a fly, but some people are scared of him. I called the dog yard number after seeing some signs in the neighborhood. They set up the fence so the collar is only activated along the side of my driveway and along the front. So now my dog can be let out any of the doors, and enjoy the entire yard. Definitely recommend to anyone with a small yard!

I had an urgent matter with a pet fence I purchased from petco and installed myself. The collar started going off randomly and scared my dog horribly. I was searching for invisible fence but they do not have a local office so I stumbled upon hidden pet fence and they were a huge help. Our neighbors have 4 huge dogs that always stay a good distance away from the busy street we live on. I asked what kind of training they got, as they were never tied up or supervised outside. They explained how they had an underground electric fence installed along the front of their property so the dogs couldn’t run into the street. I got the number from them for Hidden Pet Fence and ended up getting the same design for our property. Our hunting dog has always been tied up on a chain when we weren’t able to supervise, but now he can be totally leash free and stay out of the road. This fence has been life changing for him and we are so glad we went with it!

We have always struggled with their lack of responsiveness when we need service, so I finally researched other companies in the area. After working with Hidden Pet Fence once, I will never look back! Needed a repair for my pet fence after getting my driveway was torn out. Instead of cutting across my brand new driveway, hidden fence installed a pipe under my new driveway for the fence line! Amazing work and way better than the service I received from invisible fence.

I am retired and on a fixed income. When I adopted my senior dog from the pound I thought he would be a big couch potato like me, but turns out he likes to run. We have 4 French bulldogs that come everywhere with us. We go camping every weekend and have a small permanent campsite. I have a larger property with a few acres of woods. My Cane Corso is very well behaved, however the ticks have been terrible this year so I decided I wanted to keep him out of the heavy woods as much as possible. I have used Hidden Pet Fence in the past and always liked their service. They came and installed just around the tree line so my dog would stay in the grass and away from ticks. We were very excited to have a local company with such great reviews do our fence! We have 2 poodles who are very high energy. We got the “link” phone compatible collars which do way more than any other fence we researched. We are able to track their activity on the fence, see the battery life and turn on the collar’s nightlight right from our phones. We used it for training as well when they were puppies but it corrected their naughty behaviors fast and we no longer need to use it! Hidden Pet Fence is awesome and no other company compares. 

I am embarrassed to say that we tried to go a cheap route and install an invisible fence ourselves.. what a mistake. It took us days to figure out how to hook it up and once we finally did, our dog blew right through it, even on the highest level. We finally called in the professionals, and they gave us a great discount to use the wire we had already installed. Their equipment was way better and our dog uses the endless boundary so he cannot run past the line. If you are considering cheaping out.. just don’t!

We’ve noticed Hidden Pet Fence signs everywhere since we moved and after some research, we were happy to call since they are locally owned. We spoke to a very knowledgeable sales rep who helped us design the fence with the right features for our golden doodle. The rep, technicians and trainers have all been outstanding and we would recommend to anyone.

While shopping around for a fence system, I thought we could only afford to do the backyard. My neighbors used Invisible Fence for their puppy, not knowing about any other company. What a headache for them, they always complain about the batteries in the collar dying very fast, leading to the puppy wandering around the neighborhood on multiple occasions. Once we got our dog, we did a lot of research since he is an older rescue and we wanted to get the best. We love the fact that Hidden Pet Fence is totally local, and they ended up being cheaper than what the neighbor paid with Invisible Fence. When the dog trainer from Hidden Pet Fence was here, my neighbor came over to ask about the rechargeable collars and he was even able to upgrade since their stuff works with invisible fence. I found out about Hidden Pet Fence while working at a local pet store. They had representatives that stopped in periodically to drop off coupons and they were always so nice. When my parents got their husky puppy I knew they needed a fence. They are older and there is no way they could train a husky on their own. We talked to several companies to find the right fit for our Doberman. Hidden Pet fence had the most options by far! Their whole system was totally customizable. Unlike some other companies, every available package comes with all of the different features. So we did not have to pay extra to use the higher settings which the other guys do charge for! We have two adult dogs, a beagle and a yorkie, who have been apartment dogs their whole lives. I’ve never taken them off leash before. When we finally purchased our home last year, we always assumed we would just put up a vinyl fence for the dogs. Unfortunately, we did not think this through, as we purchased a corner property, making an above ground fence difficult. We had a few companies out to discuss our options. There was a small portion of the back corner of the yard that was capable of installing, and that small portion was thousands of dollars. I have so many amazing things to say about the team at Hidden Pet Fence! I have 3 French Bulldogs who love running around the yard. I stop by the Greece office frequently to get batteries. The staff is so friendly and fast. I’m going to upgrade my collars to rechargeable collars soon, but I’ll miss my visits with the staff! 

Moving from a huge farm to a small suburban yard was tough for my lab, Bella. Within the first month we got animal control and the town called on us 3 times for Bella wondering the neighborhood. Finally I got a recommendation from my veterinarian for Hidden Pet Fence. They came out so quickly and did an awesome job. Bella stays in the yard now and no more issues with animal control! 

My parents got two beagle puppies who had a terrible digging problem. They usually did pretty well staying in the yard but they were constantly digging in the landscaping. After completely ruining some plants, I called out Hidden Pet Fence to see what they could do. The representative helped design a layout that stops the dogs from going into the landscaping. It is such a unique design as we still wanted the dogs to be able to use all of the back doors and hang out on the deck. The installers took their time perfectly placing the wire and it works amazingly! It was a pretty big job for them but the price was still much lower than expected. The dogs now hang out on the porch and wander in the yard freely while staying away from the landscaping.

My family has always had off leash German Shepherds. We live in a very rural area and it was never a thought to get any type of fencing system. In 2019 we tragically lost one of our boys as he was chasing a rabbit. He ran into the road and was struck. Heartbroken and terrified it would happen again, we instantly started doing research for a fence system. We considered GPS collars but there were so many terrible reviews. A few years ago I adopted Marty, a senior golden retriever who I was told was trained on an invisible fence. I made the mistake of thinking I could get a “do it yourself” system from the pet store since he was already trained. Sad to say I absolutely traumatized him attempting to train him.. I thought he was ruined forever as he wouldn’t even come off the porch. On top of that, I didn’t even install it properly and the transmitter box in the garage would not stop beeping and flashing. I finally called Hidden Pet Fence for professional help. They came out in just a couple of days and fixed everything up and did a very gentle training session with my poor Marty. They came back the next week to work with him again and he was finally excited to come outside! Everything is still going strong three years later. I purchased a Hidden Pet Fence package with install and training last year and it has been great! Our yard is a weird shape with a pond in the middle of the backyard. Although our lab Marley does pretty well off leash, she would always get dirty in the pond so we had to tie her up. I called Hidden Pet Fence when I was finally fed up with the leash wrapping around my daughter’s leg. The sales person came out the next day and designed a layout where Marley can go all the way to the back of the yard but stays away from the pond. They put in an additional loop around the perimeter of the pond so she can no longer get to it. The training started the day of the install and she was off the leash after 2 weeks. What a difference this has made, no more leash or unnecessary baths. What a life saver! 

We purchased a fence from Invisible Fence a few years ago and it was a nightmare for the first year until we found Hidden Pet Fence. Unfortunately I did not do my research and go with them from the start which was a huge mistake. They canceled on me twice for my install and made me wait 6 weeks for a second training. The collar stopped working after about 8 months and I couldn’t get anyone on the phone to help. Finally I found Hidden Pet Fence. They came out within a week and upgraded my collar to one of their collars which is smaller with cheaper batteries. My Cavalier is only 20lbs so the new collar is much more fitting. It has worked perfectly ever since. I will be calling 1-877-DOG-YARD for any further issues because they are the best.

We have a very timid boxer mix rescue that we got from Lollypop farm. He does not listen very well and training him has been a challenge for us. My husband was considering getting a “do it yourself” underground fence. We have used Hidden Pet Fence for many many years. This year we purchased a summer home in Hilton and it is a lake front property. Our doodles absolutely love to come out on the dock with us so I was worried about the fence stopping them from coming on to the dock. We had them out for a consultation to see all of our options and learned that they are able to configure the fence in a way that the dogs can still come into the dock without having to remove their collars. We have two teacup yorkies who are both under 4 pounds. I always wanted to give them freedom in the yard but worried about getting a fence because they could squeeze through almost any gate. My german shepherd puppy would run out of the front door anytime there was another dog outside. We got our first puppy over the summer and wanted to keep her in the backyard. A chain link fence was going to take months to install and was also more than we wanted to spend. I was hesitant to get an underground fence because I didn’t think they could keep her in the backyard. I did have the Invisible Fence company out first who said there was no way to do the backyard only for our property. Once the sales rep came out they explained that they could make one zone for the back yard and a separate area in the front in case she runs out the front door. I found Hidden Pet Fence as soon as I moved to my new house in Fairport. It seemed like nobody in the neighborhood had a chain link fence, and all other fences are extremely expensive. I have used Dog Watch in the past before I knew about any local companies.
