December has arrived, which means Winter is officially starting next week. We have already experienced a bit of this season’s Winter wonderland in upstate New York! Rochester and surrounding areas have been covered in snow and ice for a couple of weeks. Staying cozy is a breeze if you are able to stay inside during these times. Unfortunately for dog owners, this is easier said than done.
Many dog breeds love being outside during the colder months. There are several dog breeds that are particularly fond of snow due to their origins in cold climates or their physical characteristics that help them thrive in chilly conditions. Some breeds include the husky, Alaskan Malamutes, Saint Bernard, Newfoundland and Bernese Mountain Dogs.
